Error codedE / dC
ApplianceRange
Quick answer
dE and dC on Flex Duo ranges point to the oven partition: not installed properly, or inserted or removed in the wrong cook mode.
Model compatibility: Samsung reuses codes across series and model years, so dE / dC may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
The oven partition (divider) is not installed properly, or was inserted or removed in the wrong cook mode.
On Flex Duo ranges, dE or dC (shown as -dE- or -dC-) means the oven partition, also called the divider, is not installed properly, or was inserted or removed in the wrong cook mode. If you started cooking before inserting the partition, the code will display. Your user manual lists which cooking modes are supported in Twin Mode.
If the partition is in the oven
Remove it and install it properly, pushed in all the way. Each side should sit in the third position from the top on electric and dual fuel models, or the fourth position from the top on gas models.
If there is no partition
Check that nothing is pressing against the partition switch at the back of the oven.
Restart
The divider must not be removed during cooking in Dual cook mode. Turn the oven off and restart. If the problem continues, turn the power off for 30 seconds or more and reconnect.
Related codes
Another code about something not in place is door, meaning the door is not closed. C-d1 reports a door lock malfunction.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
