Error codedoor
ApplianceRange
Quick answer
The door code means the range door is not closed. If it appears when the door is closed, check the door plunger switch.
Model compatibility: Samsung reuses codes across series and model years, so door may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
The door is not closed.
When a Samsung range displays door, the door is not closed. If the code occurs even when the door is closed, there are two things to look at.
Plunger switch and door
Check the door plunger switch, a round, black, plastic cap with a pin that sticks out when the door is open. It should move freely when pressed with a finger. If the plunger does not extend when the door is open, or it is stiff and cannot be moved with a finger, request service. Also make sure the door closes all the way.
If the code continues with the door closed, request service.
Related codes
A divider message, dE or dC, also mentions a switch at the back of the oven. C-d1 is the door lock malfunction code.
